Morrisons have scrapped use by dates in favour of the "sniff test". Morrisons is the first UK supermarket to take this important step to help reduce household food waste.
Morrisons has already scrapped 'use by' dates across some of its own-brand yogurt and hard cheese ranges.
Next time you go to throw away milk or any food stuff, look, smell, taste. It may be perfectly good to use.
We are looking forward to more retailers reviewing date labels on their products and taking action.
